Diana Vreeland's glamorous wardrobe will go for sale on June 25 at Kerry Taylor Auctions. The collection was donated by a close friend of the widely-celebrated former US Vogue editor.
Vreeland was known for her impeccable taste in clothes, with a timeless, discreet style that was characterized by her love of luxurious, high-quality classics, which makes the sale all the most enticing. Highlights include an Yves Saint Laurent navy wool coat - still bearing the scarlet ribbon of her Legion d'Honneur award - and a turned ivory art-deco cigarette holder that was immortalised in a portrait by Cecil Beaton.
